Angel Reese showed no mercy during the Second Round of March Madness on Sunday. LSU battled back from a four-point deficit at halftime to win by 27 and advance to the Sweet 16.

The Tigers’ star forward took over during the second half.

Reese finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds to record her 14th-straight double-double. Flau’jae Johnson also stepped up in a big way and willed LSU to victory on both ends of the floor.

However, it was Reese who went out of her way to let Middle Tennessee State know who is boss. She drew a foul under the basket late in the third quarter, which marked the fifth and final for Anastasiia Boldyreva.

There is no doubt that Reese flopped. Kim Mulkey may have even whispered in her ear prior to the play to encourage her to get Boldyreva out of the game.

As the Blue Raiders’ 6-foot-6 center made her way off of the court, Reese smiled and waved goodbye. The crowd loved it so she called on them for even more noise.

Boldyreva was in tears while the PMAC went bonkers. It was cold-blooded.

Angel Reese was trying to gain a competitive advantage through mental warfare all afternoon. She was just enough of a pest to cause a disruption and get under Middle Tennessee State’s skin.

Not long before the flop-turned-foul, Reese literally set a screen during a free throw attempt. The Blue Raiders were so fed up.

Even though it was not a pretty win, a win is a win is a win is a win. The Bayou Bengals rallied when it mattered most and got the job done.

Reese’s shenanigans will undoubtedly rub some people the wrong way, but they played a big role in the result. Getting Boldyreva to foul out was crucial. Getting the crowd behind LSU in that moment helped to spark a dominant run.
