The Angels were the latest Major League Baseball team to be featured in the Nike City Connect uniform concept campaign. And the franchise pulled out all the stops to unveil the vintage surf-inspired fits.
In a video released on social media, the team called upon a handful of Los Angeles stars to help promote the jerseys. Seen in the clip are Chargers QB Justin Herbert, Ducks C Ryan Getzlaf, and former MLBer and current Angels commentator Mark Gubicza.
Check it out.

You might recognize the voice of the narrator, too. That’s none other than John Stamos from the hit show Full House.
The video keys in on the beaches of Southern California, giving plenty of shots of the waves, the sand, the palm trees, and the surfing. And of course, it featured a number of Angels, including the likes of Mike Trout, Noah Syndergaard, and Shohei Ohtani.
“Chasing waves, and the California dream, waiting for our moment in a stacked lineup… Always moving forward.”
Well, maybe that last part is a stretch seeing that the team has lost 11 games in a row, now falling a game below .500. Still, these are some of the better designs we’ve seen from the City Connect catalog, and the video definitely helps sell the laid-back side of the LA scene.
Many on social media said the same.
Fans react to the Angels’ City Connect jersey release
The team may suck, but the surf city vibe of the Angels is sooooo much sicker than the LA vibe of the team down the freeway

Cardinals fan here.
These are the best City Connect uniforms so far. I don’t even think it’s close.
Great video package too.

Even John Stamos, himself, took some time to shout out the Angels.
