Antonio Brown Claims He’s Done Playing Football In Profane Tirade Directed At The NFL
Antonio Brown is once again “done” with football.
For the past few weeks, Brown has posted countless workout videos showing that he’s ready to play in the league after getting released by the Patriots earlier in the season.
Unfortunately for Brown the league is taking its time investigating his sexual assault case and there’s a good chance he doesn’t play this season. Early Thursday morning, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported that the league is set to meet with Brown next week but the investigation is far from over.
The NFL is expected to interview FA WR Antonio Brown next week on a date not yet finalized, source said. This is the first meeting with him and could spur others. The league’s investigation into civil allegations of sexual assault & rape is not expected to conclude any time soon.
The NFL is investigating Brown regarding multiple accusations. The league previously interviewed Brown’s first accuser, Britney Taylor, who claims in a civil suit that Brown assaulted her twice before raping her. Through his lawyer, Brown denies all allegations.
The NFL is also investigating “intimidating” text messages allegedly sent by Brown to a second accuser regarding the wide receiver making past unwanted advances toward her.
Brown is apparently frustrated with how slowly the NFL is conducting its investigation and claims that he’s done playing football in a profanity-laced rant directed at the league on Twitter.
Update: Brown continued to take shots at the NFL on Instagra,.
It is worth noting that Brown has vowed to quit playing football in the past few months before once again showing interest in returning to the league.
