Arch Manning’s recruitment is starting to heat up. The top-ranked prospect in the Class of 2023 will have to make a decision on where to go to college in the next 12 months, but he is in no rush.

Manning, the son of Cooper, nephew of Peyton and Eli and grandson of Archie, is the most highly-coveted recruit in recent history. Every team in the country would welcome him with open arms, regardless of what their roster looks like already.

Obviously, however, only one school will land the next quarterback from the first family of football. And he is seemingly down to four schools.

Earlier this month, Manning reportedly removed one big-name suitor from his list. That leaves LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Florida, Texas, Tulane and Alabama.

For Manning to commit to play at Ohio State, LSU, Florida or Tulane would be a shock. That leaves four schools, and 247 Sports’ Steve Wiltfong corroborated that to be the case earlier this week.

Manning is down to Ole Miss, Georgia, Texas and Alabama and it might not be a coincidence. When the four teams are arranged in a specific order, it reveals an incredible acronym— G.O.A.T.

G.O.A.T., of course, stands for ‘Greatest Of All-Time.’ Was it a coincidence? Probably. Is this foreshadowing for Arch Manning to be the best quarterback in college football history when it’s all said and done? Definitely.

Manning’s next steps will come in the spring.

After finishing up his high school basketball season, Manning will get a calendar together for some visits in the coming months. He plans to get a feel for what programs look like during spring practice, think through his decision over the summer, and make a decision in the fall. However, there is no timeframe for Manning to commit. He is not going to rush the right decision.
