Arik Armstead is an important piece to the San Francisco 49ers defensive front and his sizable Chick-Fil-A order is an important piece to his diet. The 29-year-old former No. 17 overall NFL Draft pick goes hard at the counter.

Armstead, who spent most of last season dealing with a hairline fracture in his left ankle, had a career year in 2021. He combined for 63 tackles in 17 games with six sacks.

Although Armstead continues to rehab, that isn’t stopping him from getting right with some chicken. At 6-foot-7, 290 pounds, he can eat!

A recent TikTok video takes you along with him to one of the most famous fast food restaurants in the world. Upon arrival, Armstead orders what would be three separate meals for the average person.

  • No. 1 combo:
    • Standard chicken sandwich
    • Large fries
    • Half iced tea, half lemondade
  • Another standard chicken sandwich
  • Four-count chicken strip
  • Southwest salad

The meal comes out to 2,442 calories with 131 grams of protein and 223 carbohydrates. The standard Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich meal hovers around 740 calories. Armstead more than doubles that number with two additional chicken items and a salad.

He chooses to enjoy his meal with Polynesian sauce and Honey Mustard.

Most people would order the No. 1 meal or a Southwest salad. Armstead does both, and adds an additional chicken sandwich and some strips.

Per a quick Google search, Men’s Health magazine says that an NFL player burns somewhere between 2,000-3,000 calories during the average practice day. Armstead basically negates his entire Chick-Fil-A feast in just a few hours while going head-to-head with Trent Williams and through conditioning.

Even though he is tripling the average person’s Chick-Fil-A order, it’s no big deal. Armstead needs the fuel to keep going. He runs on Polynesian sauce, apparently!
