This Arizona State Recruit Trolling Georgia During His Commitment Ceremony Is A BOLD Move

Robby Harrison Arizona State Commit Georgia Troll

Before we begin, let me be very clear that I am openly pro-troll during commitment ceremony. However, there is an awareness that has to come with said troll.

That is what Robby Harrison lacks.

The three-star defensive end out of Greenwood, South Carolina has been recruited by Arizona State, Army, Coastal Carolina, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Washington State, among others. He stands 6-foot-3, 285 pounds and is the 165th ranked player at his position.

Harrison’s presence in a recruiting class would be a welcomed addition to any school in the nation. But with that being said, his value would be greater at a less-competitive program than a national title contender.

Thus, when he committed to Arizona State on Monday night, the Sun Devils’ coaching staff was thrilled. They landed a strong, athletic frame from across the country. It was a good get.

When Harrison sat down to make his announcement, he had three hats in front of him — Georgia, Michigan and Toledo. It was quite the selection, considering that the Rockets made the final cut alongside the Bulldogs and Wolverines.

There was a twist, though.

After being handed a bag by one of his family members, Harrison picked up the Georgia hat and dropped it off of the table. He then pulled the ASU hat from the bag and placed it atop his head.

Again, I am pro-troll. He did Georgia dirty and it was very funny.

Despite the hilarity, the move made no sense. Harrison had Toledo in his final three and decided to clown on the nation’s No. 3 team???

Kirby Smart and his staff may or may not have been watching the ceremony. Either way, when they saw a player with Toledo as one of his three options try to go savage mode on a national championship contender, it probably didn’t hurt them too badly.

There is no shortage of three-stars for Smart and his team to pull from…

Additionally, Arizona State and Georgia have played only twice in history. The SEC competitor won both matchups.

They are not rivals, they have no beef, they do not compete in the same conference. For Harrison to choose to troll Georgia makes no sense.

If he had thrown away the hat of another Pac-12 team, or even Michigan (because dunking on Michigan is always funny), it would have made a lot more sense. But Georgia?!

Bold move, Harrison.
