A Nebraska bar may be the biggest loser of a surprising upset in the NCAA Regionals. Rocco’s Pizza and Cantina in Omaha will now be without its defending champion and runner-up in last year’s CWS Jello-Shot Challenge.
Ole Miss won titles on and off the field last season, taking home its first ever baseball national championship while fans purchased an incredible 18,777 shots at the bar located across the street from Charles Schwab Field.
Rocco’s holds a friendly competition amongst fans at the College World Series each year, and Ole Miss DOMINATED the field in 2022. Fans accounted for an absurd $84,500 worth of purchases. In the end, the restaurant donated $62,000 of its $140,000 total to charity.
Unfortunately, the Rebels baseball team struggled on the diamond this season and missed the NCAA Tournament, meaning OM fans will be unable to defend their Jello-shot crown in Omaha.
On Monday, Rocco’s took another hit.
Arkansas, the CWS Jello-Shot Challenge runner-up, was eliminated from the field. While the Razorbacks earned a Top 8 national seed and hosted a regional in Fayetteville, they were upset by TCU.
The Horned Frogs beat the Razorbacks 20-5 in Game 4, thanks to an incredible three-HR performance from Tre Richardson. TCU then eliminated the top seed with a 12-4 victory in Game 6 to advance to a super regional.
That upset effectively removed another 8,672 Jello-shots from the field.
No one is sadder that Arkansas isn’t going to the College World Series than Rocco’s Pizza & Cantina in Omaha. pic.twitter.com/Y4JZFbLWXO

Fans were quick to comment.
One person wrote, “Looks like Rocco’s Pizza and Cantina will have to find a new team to root for in the College World Series.”
TCU fans seem to believe that they can answer the call.
TCU has some prolific drinkers, but that really is a numbers game that a larger state school can take advantage of.

A few other fanbases could certainly pull their weight should they make it to the CWS.
Y’all better cheer for LSU!!!!!!!

We’ll see if anyone comes close to matching those totals in this year’s Jello-Shot Challenge. Bottoms up!
