Former MLB player Aubrey Huff has a bone to pick with Colin Kaepernick over his 4th of July post.
On Saturday, Kaepernick criticized the 4th of July ina Twitter post when he called the holiday a “celebration of white supremacy.”
“Black ppl have been dehumanized, brutalized, criminalized + terrorized by America for centuries, & are expected to join your commemoration of ‘independence’, while you enslaved our ancestors,” he wrote. “We reject your celebration of white supremacy & look forward to liberation for all.”

Huff didn’t appreciate Kaep’s post and called out the former NFL QB for playing the “victim card” on Independence Day.
.@Kaepernick7 you never wanted back in @NFL. You working out was all a scam. You knew you weren’t good enough, & just wanted to play the victim card. You knew how much money u could make by dividing the country racially. You’re not oppressed tweeting from your mansion! #4thofJuly https://t.co/7EV427r5pX

America is the freest country in the world. I don’t know anyone living today that was ever a slave. Nor know any person that owns slaves. Everybody has equal opportunity in #America with hard work. Those that don’t take advantage of opportunity like to play the victim. #4thofJuly

I stand corrected…slavery does exist. In the form of sex trafficking. However nobody seems to care about that in America. We’d rather bitch about shit that happened over 150 years ago. 🤬

Huff then pointed out an old tweet in which Kaepernick wished people a “happy 4th of July” nine years ago.
Notice the date. Who was President then @Kaepernick7? 🤔 https://t.co/XHJbMz8xLc
