The trailer for season 7 of Black Mirror that was released on Thursday is chock full of new details. The robust three-minute video reveals the seventh season’s release date, several returning characters, and a sequel to one of its most-discussed episodes.

The six-episode seventh season of Black Mirror will premiere on Netflix on April 10. It will feature an incredibly talented cast including Awkwafina (Shang Chi), Emma Corrin (Deadpool and Wolverine), Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers), Rashida Jones (The Office), Cristin Milioti (The Penguin), Issa Rae (Barbie), and Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish).

“We’ve got an embarrassingly stacked cast,” show creator Charlie Brooker said. He’s not lying.

Also appearing in the new season will be Ben Bailey Smith, Milanka Brooks, Peter Capaldi, Asim Chaudhry, Patsy Ferran, Josh Finan, Lewis Gribben, Osy Ikhile, Siena Kelly, Billy Magnussen, Rosy McEwen, James Nelson-Joyce, Chris O’Dowd, Will Poulter, Paul G. Raymond, Jay Simpson, Jimmi Simpson, Harriet Walter, and Michael Workeye.

The seventh season of Black Mirror will also include a sequel to the “U.S.S. Callister” episode from season 4. Plus, Will Poulter and Asim Chaudhry return to the roles they played in the interactive Black Mirror movie Bandersnatch.

Brooker also stated that season 7 is going to be “a little bit OG Black Mirror,” adding, “It’s back to basics in many ways. They’re all sci-fi stories — there’s definitely some horrifying things that occur, but maybe not in an overt horror-movie way. There’s definitely some disturbing content in it.”

No details about who will appear in each episode or any of the plot details or loglines have been released yet. Not that it matters.

“You can expect a mix of genres and styles,” Brooker said during Netflix’s annual Geeked Week festival in September. “We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional.”
