The Auburn Tigers hired Hugh Freeze as their new head coach and it’s been an ongoing barrage of news since. Even so, the controversial coach is coming back to the SEC. Now, the college football world is freaking out again, as Freeze apparently has a weird ankle fixation for his recruits.

According to a Tik-Tok video shared by Unnecessary Roughness, a woman spills the beans about Hugh Freeze’s recruiting process. You’d think to hear something about a certain personality trait, or maybe he searches for a specific speed a player might have. But now. Apparently, it’s all in the ankles. Kind of creepy, right?

So, if you have skinny ankles then that means you’re an athlete? I wish someone had told me that a lot sooner. I wouldn’t have gone off eating pizza and drinking beer as often as I do. Also, how weird would it be to have a college football coach ask you to “lift your pants up” the very first time you meet? Is Hugh Freeze a weird dude? Or is there some legitimacy to this?

We have no idea. All we know is that if you’re a high school kid hoping to play for the Auburn Tigers, just know that Hugh Freeze is going to check your ankles. Because skinny ankles apparently are all it takes to be an athlete. At least in Freeze’s eyes, that is.
