POV Video Shows 10K+ Florida Fans Go Wild For Hank The Tank’s Dominant Baby Race Victory

Baby Race
University of Florida

A young boy named Hank was absolutely dominant during Saturday’s baby race at the University of Florida. He sent more than 10,000 Gators fans into a frenzy.

If you are not familiar with the trend, a baby race is exactly how it sounds. Colleges all across the country have been hosting such events at basketball games for about a decade now and the concept is simple.

As soon as the game goes to halftime, preselected families are invited onto the court. The children and one of their parents get in position on a predetermined start line. The other parent lines up at the finish.

Once the figurative gun sounds, the babies are off!

Whichever kid can crawl its way across the finish line first wins the race. That’s the whole thing. It is a literal baby race.

Florida held its Babydega at halftime of its game against Vanderbilt. 10,358 people were in attendance.

It was not even close. A child named Henry — better known as Hank the Tank — led the race from start to finish out of Lane 1. He put on a display of supremacy that has never been seen before.

POV video of his dominant win is electric. The young child can be seen crawling his way across the hardwood as fans, including the student section, go bonkers in the background. His father proceeded to lift him up like Simba to celebrate the victory and sent the O’Connell Center into a frenzy.

While it is not uncommon for one baby to have a better grasp of the concept than his competition, it is rare that the champion leaves the other kids in the dust in such authoritative fashion. If his performance on Saturday is any indication, Hank is destined for greatness. His performance was truly special.
