Baker Mayfield Refused To Leave Practice Until He Signed Autographs For Every Single Military Member Who Wanted One

When Baker Mayfield came out of college, there were more than a few people who viewed him as the potential second-coming of Johnny Manziel thanks to the multiple instances both on and off the field during his time in school where he came across as kind of a shithead.

In addition to being arrested for public intoxication, Mayfield also caught some heat for taunting his opponents by planting a flag in the middle of Ohio State’s field and grabbing his crotch during a game against Kansas.

However, Mayfield has (at least so far) managed to avoid befalling the fate that so many Browns quarterbacks before him have suffered while simultaneously establishing himself as a pretty awesome dude.

Over the weekend, the QB decided to pump up fans (and piss off Colin Cowherd) by shotgunning a beer at an Indians game to add to his increasingly-growing legend in the city and cement himself as the Certified Bro we already knew he was.

However, if you needed more proof Mayfield is a good dude, you got some at Browns training camp on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Larry Brown Sports, Mayfield was signing some autographs for military members who’d made the trek to watch the team practice before he was told it was time to leave the field after the allotted signing time was up.

However, he opted to remain exactly where he was and continued to distribute his John Hancock and take pictures with the troops until every single service member got their chance to interact with him.

What a guy.
