The best and worst college football uniforms for Week 10.
Week 10 of the 2026 college football season will be an important one in terms of the postseason. The first set of College Football Playoff rankings just dropped. A win or loss could be the difference between national title contention and sitting on the outside looking in.
This weekend we have some incredible heavyweight battles to include Utah v. BYU, LSU v. Alabama, Georgia v. Ole Miss, and Miami v. Notre Dame. The games will have direct impacts on the championship race.
But while those college football powers are considered the sport’s best in terms of talent, there are others that excel in other areas. We’ll take a look at a few here.
Best college football uniforms for Week 10.
In this list, I’ve found 12 uniform combinations that will absolutely shine this weekend. The majority of my rankings this week involve Group of Five teams. There are even a few FCS programs to make the cut. All will catch attention from fans on social media.
But with the good, there is always the bad. As I do weekly, I’ll end the list with my least favorite college football uniform for Week 10. First, let’s begin with the cream of the crop.
UMass
The Minutemen are one of two teams on this list that has already played at the time of this writing. They kickstarted the week with an exciting 31-30 overtime win over Ball State.
UMass blacked out for the home contest against the Cardinals. Helmets featured an American flag alongside the school logo, fitting with Veterans Day coming up. The jerseys and pants were black with subtle touches of red and white. Adidas executed the fits perfectly for what turned out to be a huge night.
Sacramento State
The Hornets also played on Wednesday night where they nearly knocked off Toledo as a 26-point underdog. Sacramento State held a 10-7 halftime lead but ultimately fell 20-17.
The all-green uniforms did not disappoint. Designed to honor Native American heritage, the Nike threads utilized eagles, rivers, and arrowheads as a way to pay respect.
Florida Atlantic
These red color rush uniforms will be some of my favorites to see on the field this weekend. FAU plays on Thursday night at home vs. UTSA.
These combos consist of red tops and bottoms, which are perfectly contrasted by white lids. The helmets feature an outline of the state of Florida with the word ‘Atlantic’ across the panhandle in bold block lettering. It’s another Adidas design that knocked it out of the park.
Illinois
The Illini will play on Friday night fresh off a win over Maryland in Big Ten play. They will wear all blue in their return to Champaign.
The dark blue tones will be featured at all three levels. Orange and white are used in the lettering, striping, and school logo. This is my favorite color rush mashup of the week.
TCU
The Horned Frogs will go dark despite playing on the road against Arizona. That’s because the Wildcats are planning a whiteout in Tucson.
TCU didn’t commit to the full blackout. Instead, they will wear black helmets and pants with purple jerseys in between. I don’t always love dark colors when paired with black. In this instance, it works.
Nevada
One of three Friday night games featured on the list, Nevada will pull out an awesome black and grey combo for a matchup with New Mexico.
Everything about these scream throwback, but with a twist. The old school interlocking UN logo will be featured on the helmets instead of the wolf head. The state flag will line the pants. Silver outlines perfectly separate the blue and black, making colors pop despite dark tones. A+ all around.
Middle Tennessee
The Blue Raiders will face Western Kentucky at home on Saturday afternoon. Middle Tennessee will wear all blue with awesome grey helmets that pay homage to the home state.
Similar to Nevada, the state flag will be featured on these college football uniforms, but in the form of a three-star logo on the domes. I love the block ‘Middle Tennessee’ lettering on the chest plate. The rest of the fits are simple yet effective in terms of striping. They’re not too busy, which in my eyes, is always a win.
Air Force
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Air Force will go with all-white threads for a Saturday night showdown with Army. These are my favorite uniforms of the week.
Nothing flashy, just a logo and block lettering. If you’ve followed my lists at all in the past, you’ll know that icy whites are the quickest way to my heart. This is hands-down the No. 1 look in college football for what should be an epic matchup.
Liberty
The Flames went outside the box in terms of coloring with these baby blue fits. They’ll ditch the dark navy everywhere except the lids.
The helmets feature an alternative logo while the white script lettering on the jerseys is perfectly outlined in red to highlight school colors. Light blue pants complete the threads, which will be worn for a matchup against New Mexico State on the road.
Northern Iowa
Now, we’ll hit the FCS ranks to finish up with three awesome looks from the college football subdivision. The first comes with Northern Iowa, which will implement a color rush theme for a Saturday contest vs. fifth-ranked South Dakota State.
The Panthers are going all purple for the home outing, and similar to what we saw with UMass, they’ll have a little American flare on the lids. The UNI logo will feature the stars and stripes. Everything else is in school colors. I can’t wait to see them on the field.
The Citadel
The Citadel is breaking out all-blue uniforms for a Homecoming matchup against in-state rival Furman. They are a close No. 2 on my personal list, though I may have a little Charleston bias.
On the helmets, you’ll see the bold block ‘C’ which I think is one of the best and most underappreciated logos in the sport. It’s got a throwback feel, perfect for a military college. That logo is also repped on the chest plate of the jerseys. This is the first Under Armour fit on the list, and it’s a contender for uniform of the week.
Cornell
Cornell is not new to fresh fits. Look no further than their all-whites worn last week against Princeton. This week, they’ll hit the opposite end of the spectrum. These uniforms go way too hard for an Ivy League school.
The Big Red will wear all black for a home game vs. Penn. They are traditional, but with flare. There is no striping. No school name across the jerseys. Just black with a red block ‘C.’
Simplicity is often the best avenue in an age where everyone is looking to get creative. Nike hit a home run here.
The worst college football uniforms for Week 10.
As I previously mentioned, not all combos are made the same. Some just don’t hit the way you want. This week’s worst fit goes to a Big Ten school attempting a blackout.
Minnesota
I can appreciate the concept. There is nothing quite like a home blackout to excite fans and players. Unfortunately, this combo didn’t do it for me. These are my least favorite uniforms of the weekend, which will be worn against UCLA.
The Golden Gophers will scrap the school colors for their “Dark Mode” design. I don’t hate the black and white jerseys and pants. It’s the helmet that pushes me away. Those lids are dark red with a black block ‘M.’ I’m not a huge fan of the middle striping, either, which comes in a different shade of red. I think some gold or white would’ve been useful to help offset the dark tones.
There was also an opportunity here for an awesome color matchup with Minnesota’s statement maroon and gold combatting the Bruin’s classic blue. Maybe next year.
