Bijan Robinson compared his HC Kevin Stefanski to MLK Jr.
The Atlanta Falcons’ win over the Green Bay Packers to improve to 1-2 on the season was an absolutely massive milestone for the team. How massive? Star running back Bijan Robinson left the game comparing his head coach to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Falcons running back — who piled up 213 total yards and two touchdowns in Atlanta’s 35-14 win over Green Bay — went viral after the game when he compared his head coach’s post-loss locker room speech to a Martin Luther King Jr. address.
After a blowout 34-3 loss at home to the Carolina Panthers last week, Atlanta fell to 0-2, prompting Stefanski to deliver an evidently impassioned speech to the team.

“Last week was a big testament to who he is, just as a person, as a coach,” Robinson said. “Obviously, we lost how we did last week, and he went right to the locker room … He said this speech. It was like Martin Luther King Jr. was in there, man. I was like, ‘Yo.'”
Whatever Stefanski said worked. The Falcons went into Lambeau Field and demolished Green Bay 35-14 on Thursday Night Football, with Robinson himself running for 194 yards and two touchdowns on the way to Atlanta’s first win of the season.

Stefanski wasn’t exactly ready to accept the comparison at face value, though. Asked about it afterward, he cracked, “I don’t think Dr. King used as many f-bombs as I did,” according to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi.
Robinson eventually walked the comparison back a bit on social media to clarify, writing on his Instagram Stories: “Yup I just saying stuff sometimes lol. Was a awesome speech for the team though.”
Either way, the results speak for themselves, as Stefanski got his first win as Falcons head coach and Robinson had his best game of the season so far.
Robinson, Stefanski, and the rest of the Falcons will look to build on their performance in Green Bay next week when they head to New Orleans to take on the Saints on Monday Night Football.
