Bill Belichick, one of the most adversarial coaches ever when it comes to dealing with the media, revealed he will be hosting a fantasy football show this fall.

That’s right, the guy who once told a kid reporter, “fantasy football doesn’t mean anything to me,” is going to host a show about fantasy football.

Belichick, who will also co-produce the show for Underdog Fantasy called Coach, with Bill Belichick, says in a video promoting the new venture, “I partnered with Underdog because Underdog is a sports company run by sports people.”

He also said with a straight face, “They want sports that connect to the fans and that’s what I want to do. I want to find a connection to the fans where I give the fans what they’ve asked me for in terms of content.

“Behind the scenes information, decision-making that goes on within the organization and a breakdown of schematics and personnel within the game. Bring all this real football conversation and decisions to the fans. Underdog wants to do that and I want to do that, so it was a great fit.”

Hopefully, Bill Belichick will have a better attitude towards fantasy football than when he told that kid reporter, “I don’t know who’s hot, who’s not, who wins, who doesn’t. I don’t really care about that.”

This endeavor is the latest in a series of unexpected moves for the 72-year-old former Patriots coach who is famous for hating the media.

Belichick will also be joining Peyton and Eli Manning on their Manningcast this fall, as well as making an appearance every Monday during the NFL season on The Pat McAfee Show and serving as an analyst on Inside the NFL for The CW.

Naturally, Belichick going from a media curmudgeon to suddenly appearing all over the place as a talking head had football fans scratching their heads and making all sorts of comments and jokes.

“Sure, if there’s one thing we know about Belichick, it’s a comfort with – and love for — the fans, and a desire to let them in on his decision-making,” read another comment.
