Baseball fans witnessed some mascot-on-mascot violence in Atlanta this week. Infamous Braves mascot Blooper was seen absolutely leveling a comrade in the Truist Park outfield.

The tackle sparked an immediate reaction on social media.

Blooper is widely known throughout the MLB world for actions both on and off the field. Most recently, he was seen sending a small child into the shadow realm with a vicious stiff arm during a kids’ football game.

Now, he’s turned his aggression towards his fellow mascots.

On Monday night during a game between the Braves and Angels, Blooper decked an unsuspecting Home Depot Power Drill running through the outfield grass. The shot took the mascot off its feet, sending it airborne before a painful return to the ground.

“Golden Snitches give stitches,” Blooper said about the hit on social media. The mascot was far from apologetic about the violent takedown.

The Power Drill was effectively removed from its mascot race, one which it appeared to be leading before Blooper’s arrival.

The sports world was quick to react to the tackle online.

Many asked if Blooper had heard from the Falcons after seeing the clip go viral.

Others said hockey might be his calling.

An absolute menace!

Unfortunately for Blooper, the hit was the biggest Braves fans saw from the home team. Atlanta fell to Los Angeles, 4-1, as the Angels homered three times.
