Team USA archer Brady Ellison picked up a ton of news coverage over the Rio Olympics because he shares a likeness with actor Leonardo DiCaprio. It wasn’t until mid-way through that viral news cycle when people realized that he’s actually the best archer in the world, even though he only took home the Bronze Medal in Rio.

The 28-year-old archer from Glendale, Arizona has a talent this world hasn’t seen in quite some time, maybe ever. He’s an avid hunter and bagged his first bear at the ripe age of 11-years-old, but that accomplishment pales in comparison to the world record he set in recent competition.

During the third stage of competition at the 2016/17 Indoor Archery World Cup in Nimes, France, Brady Ellison scored 599 points out of a possible 600. In doing so, he broke his own world record which previously stood at 598 points, and in order to score 599 Brady had to shoot only perfect 10s on his final round of shots. This record was set in the 60-arrow 18-meter competition.

Brady’s previous world record of 598 came earlier this season when he fired off the then most impressive scored in 18-meter 60-arrow competition history during the outdoor circuit stop in Marrakesh, Morocco. During this feat Brady managed to shoot 27 consecutive perfect 10’s, according to WorldArchery.org.

Nobody has ever shot 600, and it seems like if that record is every going to be broken it will be Team USA’s on Brady Ellison to do it.
