This Break Down Of The Time Rougned Odor Punched Jose Bautista In The F’n Face Is Today’s Sports Fix

Fighting in professional sports isn’t all that uncommon but it’s pretty rare that fans are treated to a truly great fight. I’ve only seen two spectacular ones in my life. One was a Dallas Stars game where we’d left the Club Level and snuck down to just behind the ice during the third period and it was pretty much a 1-punch knockout between Aaron Downey and Jesse Boulerice.

I know we’re here to watch the Rougned Odor vs. Jose Bautista fight broken down frame by frame but I really think you should watch this hockey fight first. It was the #1 play on the SportsCenter Top 10 that day.

If you’ve never seen that fight until now, you’re welcome.

Moving on… It’s been over four years since the Rougned Odor vs. Jose Bautista fight that led to multiple suspensions. This short YouTube clip from Jomboy Media breaks down everything that led up to Odor jacking Jose in the face and breaks down the fight frame-by-frame in a way that’s giving me my Sports Fix for the day.

The best baseball fight I’ve ever seen was a benches-clearing brawl between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Devil Rays back in the day with Pedro Martinez on the mound. I don’t remember the specifics but I recall Pedro throwing at some batter and all hell breaking loose. It looked like a legitimate Royal Rumble out there before things settled down.

There was a period of time when the Red Sox and Devil Rays were getting into fights nearly every time that Boston visited The Trop but those tempers have subsided, unfortunately. I’d love to see that grit when MLB resumes.
