Grace Kelly, daughter of LSU head coach Brian Kelly, spent last Saturday with a microphone in her hand. The 23-year-old ripped shots and hit the Griddy while asking Tigers fans what they think of her dad.

It was a bold, courageous move considering that you never know what is going to come from the fine folks of Baton Rouge. She could have run into some rather awkward criticism of the man who raised her.

Fortunately, for the most part, it was pretty tame!

Grace joined Abby Alonzo of Valley Vision on game day and offered a first-hand account of what her Saturdays look like during college football season as Georgia State traveled west to Tiger Stadium. Of course, they ended the night at Fred’s, because where else?!

Grace, who is pursuing a Master’s degree at LSU, graduated from Notre Dame one year after Brian Kelly bolted from South Bend. Her identity is intrinsically tied to her father, but she works extremely hard to separate “Brian Kelly’s daughter” from Grace Kelly.

That made it especially funny as she went around from fan to fan and asked them about the head coach. They had no idea that they were talking to his daughter while talking about him.

Major credit to Grace. It took a lot of chutzpah to go out there with a live mic on game day, in a year where the Tigers have three losses, and ask about the team’s performance.

She had a lot of fun with it, and it made her even more likable than before. The Kelly family is often scrutinized, but Grace does not car what you think— especially when it comes to her flashy outfits.

Kelly and Alonzo said that last weekend’s game day vlog will not be the only game day vlog. Hopefully they follow through on their promise, because it was an awesome 20-minute video.

To see Grace turn up and hit the Griddy while also reacting to her own interview questions about her own father was tremendous content. We need more!
