Colorado State University’s Mya Lesnar, the daughter of WWE superstar and former UFC fighter Brock Lesnar, just won her 4th straight shot put title. Her latest gold medal came at the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships where, on her final toss, Mya Lesnar broke records.

With just one last shot in the 2025 Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Mya Lesnar launched it 18.08-meters/59-feet-4.0 meters with 19.60/64-3.5. That was good enough to make her one of the top 3 women’s shot put competitors in NCAA history but it also set a record at the facility.

Brock Lesnar’s Daughter Mya Lesnar Makes History

After setting that record, Mya told a school reporter “I got very emotional. Not because of my mark, but because all my family got to be here, even my dog. I have a couple more months to focus on track and I’ve sacrificed a lot to do this. The support from my teammates and boyfriend, it’s been great.”

Coming into the competition, Mya was the favorite and she rose to the occasion. Having just won the Doug Max Invitational shot put event earlier this month, Mya was on a roll that included Shot Put title wins at the 2025 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships, the 2024 Mountain West Outdoor T&F Championship, and the 2024 Indoors.

You’d have to go back to 2023 to find a Mountain West Track & Field Conference Championship where Brock Lesnar’s daughter Mya Lesnar didn’t win the title because, as evidenced by the hardware she’s accumulated, Mya is an absolute unit just like her dad. They also share a striking resemblance to one another, a story that goes viral every 6 months or so as more and more people learn about Mya.

Lesnar’s record-setting shot at the 2025 Mountain West Outdoors bumped her to the #1-ranking as she heads into the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor, essentially meaning she has the furthest shot thrown this year of any NCAA women’s shot put athlete. Akaoma Odeluga of Ole Miss trails Lesnar with 62’1.25″ to Mya’s 64’3.75″. That’s not an insignificant amount in a sport that’s won and lost by inches.

One Month Until Nationals

To celebrate her 4th consecutive Mountain West shot put title, Mya shared photos from the event on her Instagram as the Rams look ahead to the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon which begin on June 11th.

Since leaving Arizona State for Colorado State, Mya Lesnar has racked up an impressive list of accolades and titles. Including, but not limited to, becoming the NCAA Indoor Shot Put National Champion (2024) and being named the Mountain West Female Athlete of the Year (2024).

Will she complete the sweep and win another national title next month? Only time will tell.
