It’s been a long process for the Denver Broncos to find a new defensive coordinator. Sean Payton has conducted a thorough search and he finally found the man for the job.
After interviewing coaches like Rex Ryan and Matt Patricia, the front office has decided to hire a former Broncos head coach to be the new defensive coordinator.
According to Adam Schefter and Peter Schrager, Denver has officially hired Vance Joseph as the new defensive coordinator under Sean Payton.
Former Broncos’ head coach Vance Joseph is returning to Denver as the team’s new defensive coordinator, as @PSchrags also reported. He will run the Broncos defense for HC Sean Payton.

Joseph has proven to be a solid coach through the years. He most recently was the defensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals.
He coached that unit to be a top defense in the league for two seasons, that is until the entire team collapsed in 2022.
Now, the Broncos have Vance Joseph returning to Denver, this time focusing on the defense.
Things are really starting to look up for this franchise. After being one of the most disappointing teams in the league last season, Denver is shaping up to be a potential powerhouse with a stout coaching staff.
With the defense being one of the best groups last year, there really isn’t much doubt they can repeat being at the top. Especially now with Joseph leading the Broncos’ defense.
On paper, this is a great hire by Sean Payton and the organization. With the coaching staff nearly finalized, the franchise can focus on building the roster.
