Although Bronny James is best known by his nickname, he is the eldest son of LeBron James and shares the same name. LeBron Raymone James Jr. is the apple that does not fall from the tree!

Bronny, who will begin his freshman college basketball season at USC, may or may not be on the court for the Trojans’ season opener after suffering from cardiac arrest during summer workouts. The expectation is that he will play at some point during his first year, but it is unclear as to when.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his on-court status, USC’s newest star is back to normal every day life. That includes class, some level of practice, and non-university related activities.

Bronny James is one of the biggest names in sports despite being just 19 years old with no experience beyond the high school level. Everybody knows LeBron Jr. by name, and he continues to be extremely valuable from a marketing sense.

The Trojans are going to put an emphasis on their five-star guard even if he doesn’t play. Plain and simple, Bronny drives engagement on social media.

That is also the case for brands who choose to advertise with the heir to the James basketball throne, like Beats by Dre. They are continuing to push Bronny online whenever possible.

Both of those things were true earlier this week.

USC asked Bronny to name his favorite player of all-time for TikTok. The brief interview has four million views, which is the school’s third-highest performing video— ever.

Each of the other two videos that eclipsed the four million-view mark also include Bronny.

In response to the question, he obviously named his father. However, there was a lengthy pause before the final answer and it looked like Bronny might have wanted to say someone else!

Around the same time, Bronny and his entire family teamed up for a TikTok video with Beats. He played the lead as the Jameses did their best impression of the patriarch, LeBron James Sr.

The video has 3.5 million views. It is the company’s second-highest performing post on TikTok since 2020.

Needless to say, where Bronny goes — number follow. No matter whether he plays or not, his brand is astronomical!
