Bryce Harper is one of the defining baseball players of his generation. The 30-year-old is already a two-time MVP, and has lived up to the monstrous hype that has been following him around since his early teens.

After the Washington Nationals took him first overall in the 2010 MLB Draft, Harper flew threw the Minor Leagues and made his debut in the big leagues at 19. He won the MVP at just 22 years old in 2015. In 2019, he became arguably the most-anticipated free agent of all time, and signed a 13-year $330 million contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.

After a rough start in the city of brotherly love, Bryce Harper has really poured it on. He won his second NL MVP in 2021, and carried the team to the World Series last year through a massive second half of the season and even bigger postseason.

Bryce Harper’s debut in 2023 was delayed due to Tommy John surgery, admittedly much more serious for a pitcher than someone who can be a designated hitter. But, he’s hit the ground running, with an OPS of 1.050 in 9 games. But, the most memorable moment of his season so far was on Sunday, when he got in an altercation with the Colorado Rockies, causing the benches to clear.

If any of you are lip readers, you’d know that Bryce Harper said some not-so-nice things about the Colorado Rockies. And, on the same day when the Philadelphia 76ers embarrassed the entire city with a putrid performance in game 7 against the Boston Celtics.

Philadelphia fans applauded Bryce Harper for showing some fight as opposed to the Sixers.

Hopefully, Bryce Harper won’t face a suspension.
