Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons teamed up for a live show that was held during the NFL Draft over the weekend, during which Parsons set him and Cowboys fans up to get absolutely cooked by Stroud.

The pair were asked by the interviewer how many points they’d score in an NBA game, to which Parsons said he would be “averaging 20” points per game.

Stroud, completely taken aback by Parsons’ response, said he’d be lucky if he was able to make a single shot, before ripping on Parsons and the rest of Cowboys nation for being “naturally delusional.”

“This… crazy,” Stroud says before putting his head in his hands after hearing Parsons’ response. “I always say I would be lucky to hit a three or a two. I’m realistic, fam. He’s a Cowboy, he’s naturally delusional.”

During his rookie season with the Texans, Stroud won Offensive Rookie of the Year and led the team to the AFC Divisional Round in the playoffs. In 15 regular season starts, Stroud wet 9-6 while completing 63.9% of his passes for 4,108 yards, 23 touchdowns, and just 5 interceptions.

As for Parsons, the 24-year-old out of Penn State, who was named Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021, is entering his 4th season with Dallas and is coming off of straight Pro Bowl appearances to begin his career.

Heading into the 2024 season, Stroud and the Texans are the betting favorites to win the AFC South, while Dallas are second-favorites behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.

Parsons and the rest of Dallas’ roster will be able to get revenge on Stroud for his shade as the Texans are set to travel to AT&T Stadium to face off against the Cowboys.

Lucikly for Stroud, he will likely have an even better offense than last year as the team traded for Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs earlier in the offseason.
