Caitlin Clark wrapped up her rookie regular season on Thursday with a matchup against the Washington Mystics. While the Indiana Fever would fall in that game, 92-91, Clark would again rewrite the record books.

The guard’s first WNBA season has been one to remember as she set new marks in a variety of different categories.

Some of the more notable totals include most points by a rookie, most threes by a rookie, and most assists by a rookie. The superstar’s first-year accolades continued to pile up this week!

Caitlin Clark scored eight points in her 20 minutes of play to move her season total to 769. That’s the most for a point guard in a single season – ever!

While she didn’t see action throughout the entirety of the contest as the Fever had already wrapped up a playoff spot, Clark did sink two of her three shots from beyond the arc.

She passed Diana Taurasi for most threes by a point guard in the process!

Diana Taurasi issued a warning to Caitlin Clark upon arriving to the WNBA.

“Reality is coming!” she said prior to the No. 1 overall pick’s debut.

“You look superhuman playing against some 18-year-olds but you’re going to come play with some grown women,” she continued.

Taurasi’s comments were maybe blown out of proportion as she was simply stating that there’d be a transition period for the rookie. And she was right.

Clark struggled over her first few games as Indiana got off to a 2-9 start. She was then snubbed for the Olympic team over the summer, which seemed to fuel her over the second half of the year.

While the initial transition period did take some time, Clark has been downright dominant of late (even if Sheryl Swoopes disagrees).

Now, she’ll prep for the postseason in hopes of adding more to her list of accomplishments.
