Caitlin Clark is not only one of the biggest names in the WNBA as a less-than one-month-old rookie, she is one of the biggest names on the planet right now. The greatest scorer in college basketball history is a household name in the United States and her impact reaches all across the globe.

To say that Clark is a superstar would be an understatement!

As is the case with fame on any level, there is an adjustment period in terms of lifestyle. That is no different for the No. 1 overall pick and newest member of the Indiana Fever.

Clark recently moved to Indianapolis ahead of her rookie season. Preseason workouts got underway last week, which revealed a stark contrast in WNBA team facilities.

It did not take long for the 22-year-old sharpshooter to knock down a deep triple during her first official run at Day 1 of training camp on Sunday. Seven seconds, in fact!

Not long after the first practice of the year came to a close, Clark was at the podium to speak to the media. She was asked what she does to occupy her time when not in the gym and confirmed that she is in fact a gamer!

Clark also revealed that she “doesn’t really go out in public” all too often.

The fame is something that is still new to Clark. It is difficult to navigate.

On one end, she is still technically a senior in college. On the other end, she is perhaps the biggest name in basketball right now. There is still a lot for her to learn about how to handle life with her celebrity.

Clark discussed that complicated reality with complete transparency during her press conference! She also introduced her new bodyguard, Steve. Don’t mess with Steve.

We, as fans, often neglect to consider the other side of fame. It is really interesting to hear Caitlin Clark break it down in such an honest and open manner!
