Caitlin Clark is facing backlash simply for liking a social media post.
Earlier this week, after the Presidential debate, global pop superstar Taylor Swift decided to endorse Kamala Harris in a lengthy post on social media.
“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them”
Fans immediately noticed Clark had liked the post on social media.

Clark spoke to the media on Wednesday about liking Swift’s post.
“I think for myself, I have my amazing platform, so I think the biggest thing will be just encourage people to register to vote,” said Clark.
“It’s the second time I can vote in a [presidential] election; at 22, I could vote when I was 18. I can do that, that’s the biggest thing I can do with the platform that I have. And that’s the same thing Taylor did. And I think continue to educate yourself with the candidates that we have, the policies that they’re supporting.”
Unfortunately for Clark, her social media pages are now flooded with hateful comments after she liked Swift’s post.
“Just threw away my jersey,” commented a fan on Clark’s Instagram page.
“Definitely should have stayed out of politics, loved watching you but now I refuse after seeing you support Taylor and Kamala” said another fan
