Reporter talks trash to Bosnia ahead of USA game
Bosnian fans are not happy with one American reporter talking trash to them.
On Friday, ABC 7 LA reporter Abigail Velez began talking trash to Bosnian fans while previewing the USA’s upcoming World Cup game against Bosnia.
“The next round, Team USA will play Bosnia, and one thing about Bosnia is that I could not point out where it is on a map, and I don’t know the first thing about Bosnia, and I don’t want to know that’s because Team USA, we’re back and better than ever. Be prepared Bosnia because you don’t want it like that’

Bosnian fans blasted the reporter over her ignorant trash talk.
“If America is infected with that cultural arrogance, plenty of people already get it. If America is domestically focused, considering world geography lessons unimportant, and has low geography literacy, a lot of folks already know that.But for a reporter to actually say something like that is truly unprofessional, tone-deaf, chauvinistic. Why be proud to flaunt anti-intellectualism, or in politer terms, stupidity?” commented one fan
“Yeah, I’d fire this person immediately,” said another fan
Even American fans were embarrassed by the reporter’s trash talk.
