Nick Sirianni's decision making is being questioned after a loss to the Jaguars.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost to Jacksonville in London on Sunday morning, 19-17. The Jaguars kicked a game-winning field goal on the final play of the game.

Fans are now calling for head coach Nick Sirianni’s job with some citing “coaching malpractice.”

The Eagles are seemingly inventing new ways to lose. In their latest contest, they led 17-16 with eight seconds left on the clock.

Rather than kick the ball out of bounds or through the endzone, they allowed a return. Jacksonville capitalized, taking the ball into field goal range for a walk-off opportunity.

Philadelphia can’t catch a break.

Philadelphia entered Sunday’s matchup banged up and riding a two-game losing streak. Saquon Barkley did not play. Neither did DeVonta Smith. Still, they had the lead with less than 10 seconds left in regulation.

Jake Elliott put the Eagles on top with a 48-yard field goal on their last drive. All Philadelphia had to do was defend the ensuing kickoff and one final possession. It failed.

Ameer Abdullah returned the kick to 53 yards into field goal range. Cam Little connected on a 57-yards game winner as time expired.

It was the second straight stunner for the Eagles. They blew a 10-point lead in the final four minutes to lose last week to a one-win Rams team.

This loss was even more improbable. Nick Sirianni is being blamed.

Eagles fans want Nick Sirianni fired.

He will have questions to answer. Why did he kick the ball inbounds?

Jacksonville had already returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, though the score was ultimately nullified by a penalty. Still, it showed that giving up a big play was possible. Abdullah also had a 30-yard return in the second quarter.

The Eagles could’ve kicked the ball out of the back of the endzone. The Jaguars would’ve gotten the ball on the 35-yard line. It would’ve needed to advance another 20 yards or so, without timeouts, to get into field goal range.

It’s unlikely they could’ve made a play, spiked the ball, and still had time left on the clock. There is a possibility of getting out of bounds, but the defense likely would’ve emphasized guarding the sidelines.

Instead, Philadelphia allowed the return with the thought process being that it would burn more time, only giving Jacksonville a chance at one final play. The Eagles didn’t expect that last snap to be for a game-winning field goal.

Nick Sirianni was criticized after the fact.

Damien Harris called it “coaching malpractice” to allow the return. Emmanuel Acho ripped the coaching staff, too.

“Do you not remember the very first play of the game when the Jags exposed your kickoff unit?”

Many are calling for his job. Will the coach still be employed when he returns to US soil?

Philadelphia is now 2-3 with two stunning losses. It could easily be 4-1. Fans blame the coaching staff. The clock on Nick Sirianni’s tenure is ticking.
