Cam Ward's sister condemned Titans fans for online hate.
The Tennessee Titans are off to an 0-3 start to the NFL season, running the franchise’s losing streak to five games dating back to 2025.
Quarterback Cam Ward has shouldered a brunt of the criticism due to his on-field struggles. His sister, Chantel, blasted fans for making their frustrations personal.
She claims to have received a number of DMs after Titans losses. She condemned those critics for crossing the line.
Cam Ward has struggled in Tennessee.
The passer was selected with the first pick of the 2025 NFL Draft after a breakout season at Miami. He’s since started 20 games for the Titans, going just 3-17 as a starter.
Ward has averaged around 183 yards per game as a pro. In his rookie year, he was sacked more than any other player in the league.
He’s done a relatively good job of limiting turnovers, with 17 touchdowns to just eight interceptions. Still, consistency has been lacking. He’s been unable to produce the big play.
That was evident in a season opening loss to the Jets in which he threw for just 140 yards. He’s yet to top the 200-yard mark in 2026.
This past Sunday, his offense was only able to score seven points in a loss to the Giants. He threw a brutal pick in the endzone that sealed the Titans’ fate.

Ward’s play has been criticized heavily by analysts and fans. His family has also become the target of online hate this season.

Chantel Ward took to social media to rip fans for overstepping boundaries. She says she receives threatening DMs weekly.
“The fact that I even have to post this is diabolical,” the note read. “After games, people come directly to my DMs on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram with threats, hate, bullying, personal attacks, and disrespect towards me and my family – all over football.
“Criticize the game. Criticize a play. Be frustrated with your team… but seeking out a player’s sister, parents, or other family members to personally attack them because you’re upset about what happened on a football field is something completely different…
“There are real people and real families on the other side of these screens… being passionate about your team does not give you permission to forget people’s humanity.”
That is the unfortunate side of social media. Fans, often nameless, will attack from behind an avatar. Anonymity provides a sense of invincibility. There are no repercussions.
Chantel Ward understands the passion that fans have for their sports teams. It does not give them the right with attack family members.
