For teams who didn’t make the playoffs the offseason has officially begun. The Arizona Cardinals made a big move on Monday, as the team officially enters a new era in 2023.
Kliff Kingsbury’s tenure as the head coach has been questionable throughout. But now, the fanbase has something to cheer about.
According to Adam Schefter, Kliff Kinsbury is out as the head coach of the Cardinals. The team announced they have officially fired him after signing Kingsbury to a monster contract in the previous offseason. On top of that, Arizona maintains what might be the most insane streak in the NFL with this move.
Sources: The Arizona Cardinals fired head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who 10 months ago signed a contract extension through the 2027 season.
The Cardinals still never have had a head coach – any head coach – last longer than six years while the team has existed for over 100 years. pic.twitter.com/kYWb1AfjIG

The writing seemed to be on the wall all along. Although the Cardinals were competitive last year, their playoff run fell incredibly short. Then, the team mightily struggled throughout most of this season. Arizona will be making some big changes and the fanbase is absolutely loving it.
Should of happend last season.

Maybe the next head coach can finally break that weird, over-100-year stat.
Prayers answered. Plus, that stat is terrifying as a Cardinals fan 😳

In the end, this seems like the right move for the Cardinals as the team wasn’t really going anywhere. Now, the front office has a chance to bring in the right man for the job.
