Big weekend for young pro athletes getting married. We already saw pictures of Los Angeles Clippers forward Sam Dekker and his new bride, ESPN and SEC Network reporter Olivia Harlan. It looked like they had a lovely time. But they weren’t the only ones getting hitched. So did Philadelphia Eagles franchise quarterback Carson Wentz and his girlfriend Madison Oberg.
While Dekker and Harlan waited a little over a year from their engagement to tie the knot, Wentz and Oberg were in more of a hurry as the two of them got engaged right after the Eagles won the Super Bowl. (It was a very good week for him.)
According to CBS Philly, Wentz and Oberg got married at the Lakehouse Inn in East Rockhill Township in Bucks County. Teammate Zach Ertz and former teammates Jordan Matthews and Trey Burton were groomsmen.
“He had about 10 groomsmen most of which were former teammates too which was fun,” said said Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins, whose menswear shop Damari Savile outfitted the groomsment with their blue suits.
A woman on Facebook, Christy Stack, spotted the wedding taking place and snapped some pics, saying, “after ‘you may kiss the bride’ a guy on a kayak did the Eagles chant.”
