Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson had a relatable reaction to seeing Madison Beer for the first time
Pro Bowl quarterback Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers are the biggest disappointment in the NFL so far this season, as they’re winless through the first five weeks of the season. Fair or not, Herbert’s girlfriend Madison Beer is receiving some of the blame.
Despite now being in his seventh season in the NFL and coming off an offseason that saw his head coach declare he’d end his career as the greatest quarterback of all time, Justin Herbert is currently in the worst stretch of his career.
Through the first five games of the 2026 season, Herbert is completing a career-low 59.4% of his passes for 937 yards, five touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
Former NFL WR Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson had a very relatable reaction to seeing Justin Herbert’s girlfriend Madison Beer for the first time
Given Herbert’s struggles, some NFL fans — either facetiously or genuinely — have theorized that the offseason distraction of his relationship with Madison Beer is partially responsible for his dip in play.
Speaking on his Nightcap podcast earlier this week, former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson said he could certainly understand that argument when seeing a photo of Beer for the first time.
“Let me see what she looks like… Oh s—!” Johnson hilariously exclaimed as he pulled up a picture of Beer, a model and singer. “I don’t put too much cream in my coffee, but I get it.”
Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco looked up Madison Beer while discussing Justin Herbert’s POOR performances this season, leading to the Chargers being 0-5, and instantly understood why he might be DISTRACTED 😭💀

The Chargers will look to get their first win of the season this Sunday when they head to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. After a Week 7 bye, they’ll then take on the Los Angeles Rams, who are in similar need of getting their season on track after a disappointing 2-3 start.
