Charlie Woods initially decided that he was not going to make the trip to watch Tiger Woods play The Masters for the 26th time. That must have changed after seeing his dad make the cut on Friday.

He arrived to Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday morning!

We did not see Charlie during any of the pre-tournament festivities. Tiger said on Tuesday that “he wanted to be at home.” If I am to understand correctly, the 15-year-old golf prodigy was not on the grounds during the first or second rounds.

Although we also did not see him much on Saturday, Adam Stanley of Sportsnet said Charlie was there to witness his father’s disastrous 10-over round. It was Tiger’s worst round ever at The Masters. An ugly 82 did not put him anywhere near contention to win.

Where the elder Woods spent much of the last few years coaching the younger Woods, the script was flipped on Sunday morning. Charlie joined Tiger on the range and stepped in to give him a few pointers.

He wasn’t just there for moral support, he was actually working with his dad on how to fix his swing.

They were really enjoying each other’s presence and shared a lot of constructive conversation.

It was pretty cool to witness such a special moment between father and son, especially considering all that they have been through over the last few years! Only five years ago did Tiger give Charlie a huge, emotional hug after winning the tournament in 2019.

The entire pre-round exchange also reflected something of a change in attitude for the Big Cat.

Tiger seemed to really enjoy the time with Charlie. He was often callous in how he approached the sport during the early portion of his career, especially before a final round at The Masters. His softer side has come out in recent years and his son obviously played a big role in that.

Even though he cannot actually win, Tiger Woods won the weekend by finishing 72 holes and getting to experience a Sunday morning on the range with Charlie Woods!
