Could the Chicago Bears land disgruntled Seahawks QB Russell Wilson this offseason?

For the past few weeks, it has been reported that Wilson and the Seahawks have been at odds after the QB publicly complained about wanting more input in the team’s personnel decisions during an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show.

On Thursday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter dropped a bombshell report when he revealed that if the Seahawks intend to trade Wilson he would only waive his no-trade clause for the Cowboys, Saints, Raiders, and Bears.

According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, the Bears have been “really persistent” in trading for Wilson after learning the QB had put the team on his shortlist of teams he would be interested in getting traded to.

The Bears… would do cartwheels to get Russell Wilson at this. They have been really persistent from what I’m told in reciprocating the interest

In the end, Garafolo doesn’t believe the Seahawks will actually trade Wilson this season.

The Seahawks have every intention of keeping Russell Wilson as their QB for this upcoming season and then we’ll see where we go from there, that’s my impression.
