In early March, former Jets running back Chris Johnson was a victim of a drive-by shooting in Orlando. As a result of the shooting, Johnson was shot in the arm while the driver of the car he was riding with was killed. The incident came just weeks after the New York Jets declined to pick up his option, thus making him a free agent.
Johnson has found it tough to get interested suitors this offseason. Not only is he coming off the lowest rushing yards total of his seven-year career but the shooting may have scared teams away from signing him.
On Friday, Johnson shared a graphic photo of his gruesome bullet wound on Instagram with a caption, detailing how the incident changed his outlook on life.
Me getting shot made me think different.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper ; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the lord and their righteousness is of me, saith the lord
