Clemson Football Gave A ‘Sweet’ Gift To The Nation’s Top Recruit To Try And Get Him To Sign With Them

With Wednesday being National Signing Day in college football—which is the first day high school recruits can officially announce their college choices—the Clemson Tigers are making one last push to land the nation’s top-ranked recruit, Rashan Gary.

Gary, a behemoth defensive end who has been compared to former first-round NFL picks because of his speed off the edge and strength, is setting college football abuzz, with any school he wants to go to doing anything they can for his services.

For Clemson, that included a giant cake that was shaped and decorated like Gary’s would-be jersey with the Tigers—should he choose them.

There are a hell of a lot of strange techniques for college coaches to hunt down recruits in the final days before signing day, so the Tigers hope that Gary’s sweet tooth is enough for him to choose Death Valley over everyone else.

For those wondering hoping, no, a cake is in no way a recruiting violation.
