Coen Carr wowed basketball fans over the weekend with an incredible slam dunk. The viral clip is now making the rounds on social media, sparking a reaction from even Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell.

Carr is a four-star prospect out of Greenville, South Carolina. The forward attends Legacy Early College and has already signed on to play for Tom Izzo at Michigan State University.

We could see the class of 2023 recruit on the floor in East Lansing next season, but he’s giving fans an early preview of what he brings to the table.

Carr’s athleticism is off the charts, potentially making him a problem for defenders at the next level. Standing 6-foot-7 and tipping the scales at 200 pounds, the forward has incredible leaping ability and a knack for throwing down flashy slam dunks.

Look no further than his winning the Rocket Mortgage Slam Dunk contest this past April.

Here’s more from his scouting report on 24/7 Sports.

Carr is an extreme athlete and perhaps the most violent leaper in the class. He makes the type of momentum changing finishes that can immediately flip the energy of a game… In short, his athleticism is his calling card and that alone makes him a high-major prospect, but I believe there’s potential to be much more than just a finisher down the road.

Carr showed why he is considered the “most violent leaper in the class” again this weekend with another ridiculous slam dunk.

This time, the freshman-to-be took off from the free throw line before tossing back a huge tomahawk jam. Video clips of the dunk caused an immediate uproar on social media.

Even NBA star Donovan Mitchell was blown away by the highlight.

Mitchell wasn’t the only one. Fans quickly chimed in with their reactions to seeing the slam dunk.

This viewer wrote, “Two-hand jam from the free throw line had the crowd confused.”

Someone else said, “Let alone jumping from the free throw… He realized he had time left and decided to cock it back mid flight??” in disbelief.

Others agreed, with this fan commenting, “This don’t even look real.”

Coen Carr will suit up for the Spartans in 2023, and we’ll hope to see more highlight reel dunks from the talented forward in the future.
