Colorado will close out its 2024 college football season against BYU in the Alamo Bowl later this week. The Buffaloes flew from Boulder to San Antonio in a customized Rolls Royce airplane on Monday.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp offered an inside look at the tricked out jet. Deion Sanders always does it big and his first-ever bowl trip is not the exception!
Technically speaking, Rolls Royce did not manufacture the actual plane itself. Only the engine. Colorado’s jet is a retired Boeing 777-200 equipped with a Rolls Royce Trent 800 engine.

The exterior of the plane is painted grey to correspond with the school’s official color scheme. A Buffalo is stamped on the tail. One of Deion Sanders’ taglines is printed on the engine alongside the famous Rolls Royce logo— BELIEVE.

Once you step inside, the interior of the plane reflects a past life as part of the Delta fleet. All of the seats are navy blue with red accents. The less important players and newly-enrolled recruits sat in what would normally be the economy class.

Colorado’s coaches and a few star players (like Shedeur Sanders) were invited to sit up front in the business class. They got their own cubicles while everybody else sat two or three deep to a row in the back.

Colorado football’s Rolls Royce airplane is a luxury.
Sapp, who currently serves as a Senior Quality Control Analyst for the defense, offered an inside look at the luxurious airliner. It appears to be equipped for international travel, but the Buffaloes were only going about 950 miles in a little over two hours.

“If we don’t handle our business, we’ll be on Southwest on the way back.” -Coach Prime😂😂 pic.twitter.com/eYlkUDb0ZD
Coach Prime quipped that his team will fly Southwest from Texas back to Boulder if they do not “handle business.” We will find out on Sunday if he was joking. Colorado flew to their bowl game in style with an expectation to win. If they lose in blowout fashion, Deion Sanders might force his team to take a Spirit flight home.
