North Dakota State is a popular pick to upset Colorado during Week 1 of the 2024 college football season. However, five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton claims the Bison are in trouble.

It is an opportunity for the Buffaloes to prove that they are better this year than last and pressure is on.

Colorado ranked near the bottom in almost ever offensive line category last season. Shedeur Sanders was sacked 56 times in 2023 and the team averaged less than 70 rushing yards per game. Yikes!

Deion Sanders put a major emphasis on flipping the offensive line during the offseason. He and his staff added five experienced FBS starters through the transfer portal. They also added Jordan Seaton, the No. 1 player at his position in the recruiting Class of 2024. He is listed at 6-foot-5, 285 pounds.

Coach Prime praised the new-look offensive line after spring practice and gave a lot of credit to first-year position coach Phil Loadholt.

It ain’t just one saying hey, I’m standing out. These guys are a tremendous group and a tremendous family. You rarely see one without the other. You rarely see one of those guys anywhere; you see three or four of them together at all times. Tyler Brown is killing it. He’s probably grading higher than the guys on a daily basis and he’s consistent as I don’t know what. You talk about physicality and being able to run the ball, we should be able to do that.

That was in April. Colorado’s linemen should only get better with time.

However, Travis Hunter Jr. fried the Buffaloes’ front five while playing College Football 25 and implied that they are still terrible. He said they “can’t block for nothing.”

We will soon find out whether the offensive line is better than last year when the Bison travel to Boulder on Aug. 29. Seaton implied that it is going to be a blood bath in the trenches after finding some kind of tell.

The freshman would not reveal what Colorado found on tape but he hinted at a major advantage. North Dakota State had a top-10 defense in the FCS last season and held opponents to less than 300 yards and less than 20 points per game. It will begin 2024 as the No. 2-ranked team on the FCS level.

If the Buffaloes’ offensive line will be better, Week 1 — with an unidentified tell at their advantage — is going to be a great barometer for success.
