The Indianapolis Colts have been hit with a setback as wide receiver Ashton Dulin sustained a season-ending torn ACL during a joint practice session against the Chicago Bears.

The unfortunate incident occurred during last night’s intense practice session, leaving Dulin in need of assistance as he was carted off the field.

Dulin had been making considerable strides in both the offense and special teams units, earning a reputation as a standout special teams player.

The injury, reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, not only deals a blow to the Colts’ depth chart at the wide receiver position but also impacts the team’s special teams performance.

Dulin’s contributions were highly valued on special teams. With his absence, the team will now have to explore alternative options to fill the void left by Dulin’s absence.

This injury is particularly disappointing considering Dulin’s growing role in the team and his potential to provide valuable support behind key starters like Michael Pittman, Alec Pierce, and also rookie Josh Downs.

Dulin’s absence will undoubtedly be felt, but the team will look to rally together and make the best of the situation as they continue their preparations for the upcoming season.
