Conner Weigman is fully healthy at Houston after a Toradol-fueled third season of college football at Texas A&M. The former No. 1 quarterback recruit also lost a lot of weight.

He looks like he is in fantastic shape.

Weigman, a five-star prospect in the college football recruiting Class of 2022, ranked either at the top of his class or as the second-ranked player at his position behind Cade Klubnik. However, his time in College Station did not go according to plan.

Although Weigman decided to redshirt as a freshman, he started the final four games of the regular season for the Aggies in 2022 and threw eight touchdowns without an interception in two wins and two losses. The 6-foot-2 quarterback won the starting job as a sophomore and completed 69% of his passes in three wins and a loss. An injury to his foot cut his season short after just four games in 2023.

2024 was confusing. Weigman went 4-1 as the starter but he threw only three touchdowns to five interceptions on a completion clip below 56%. A shoulder injury sustained in the season-opening loss to Notre Dame hindered his accuracy and overall confidence. Head coach Mike Elko went with Marcel Reed during his absence, which ultimately led to the permanent benching of Weigman during an ugly first half against LSU upon his return. Reed took over as the starteer. Weigman’s time at Texas A&M was over.

Here’s the thing. Conner Weigman was not fully healthy even after he got back on the field last season. His AC joint never fully healed and his mechanics never returned to form. Toradol shots kept him going.

Weigman is now at Houston and looks forward to proving all of the haters wrong. Not only is his AC joint back to full health, he lost a lot of weight over the last four-to-six months. 10 pounds, to be exact!

Texas A&M listed Weigman at 220 pounds last season. He was likely closer to 225 by year’s end.

Houston lists Weigman at 215 pounds on the spring football roster but he is likely closer to 210. And it shows! His face is noticeably thinner than it was at this time last year.

His body looks very different as well. This was the end of last year:

The flack jacket obviously changes some of the optics but there is still a very big difference in terms of the amount of weight on his frame. He also moves much better.

Not only is Conner Weigman fully healthy for the first time since August, his entire mindset is different at a new program with a new opportunity to prove his worth. And he completely transformed his weight!
