Look at that youngster’s face! Even he can’t believe the utterly ridiculous goal he just scored.
Returning to the Edmonton Oilers lineup Tuesday night after being sidelined for almost three months after injuring his shoulder against the Flyers on November 3rd, 19-year-old rookie sensation Connor McDavid showed exactly why he was the No. 1 overall pick in the NHL’s entry draft last year…moves like this.

Sweet dekes almighty, it almost defies physics!
And to think, this kid just turned 19 like three weeks ago. Granted, the Oilers were taking on one of the worst teams in the NHL in Columbus, but man, moves like this just make you shake your head in astonishment.
Simply unbelievable. 💯 #CBJvsEDM pic.twitter.com/fc9FTCUhHs

It’s not even fair. There wasn’t a single thing either defender or Joonas Korpisalo in goal could do about it. Much like McDavid is all but destined for stardom in the NHL, this puck was destined for the back of the net form the moment it touched #97’s stick at center ice.
Good form on the celly, too.
Quadruple fist-pump? Yes, indeed. #CBJvsEDM pic.twitter.com/JFM7Je5Pjz

Man, this kid has the makings of something special.
