Disgraced Michigan assistant coach Connor Stalions was spotted in a Houston bar during the Wolverines’ national championship win vs. Washington. Videos show UM fans buying beers for the controversial former employee, seemingly thanking him for his role in the team’s success.
Stalions was let go midseason for his involvement in a sign-stealing scandal that swept through college football.
The premise of the operation revolved around ticket purchases to games of future Michigan opponents. Nabbing seats with a clear view of the sidelines, Stalions and his henchmen were said to have recorded opposing coaching staffs in order to gain intel.
The scandal would lead to Stalions’ firing, as well as an in-season suspension for Jim Harbaugh, but it wouldn’t stop the Wolverines’ success on the field.
Michigan closed the year with a win over Ohio State to complete a perfect regular season. A subsequent win over Iowa made them B1G champs and a victory over Alabama booked a ticket to the national title.
Despite being cut from the Michigan coaching staff, Stalions continued to stay close to the program.
He was seen at the Rose Bowl, watching along in the stands. It doesn’t look like he made it into NRG Stadium for the championship game, but he wasn’t too far away.
In case anyone was curious what Connor Stallions was up to last night, he was at a bar in Houston for the Natty.

“Looks like he’s taking unemployment well.”
The Wolverines capped a perfect 15-0 season with a national title win over Washington. UM dominated the second half of action, outscoring the Huskies 17-3 after halftime in the 34-13 victory.
That outcome ruined one Washington fraternity’s $50K dream, but it landed Michigan its first natty since the 1990s.
It will be interesting to see where Stalions goes next. For now, he’ll enjoy the moment.
