UFC 288 was a solid card as the main event was decided by a split decision.

Aljamain Sterling found a way to edge Henry Cejudo, but it appears Conor McGregor had some words for Cejudo.

According to MMA Fighting, McGregor had this to say about the results of the main event.

“Easiest money I’ve ever made. Not a scratch on Aljo! Congrats Funkmaster! Good little fighter is Henry but give it a rest with these agendas all the time. The guy is sub 20 fights in his career. His little feints an all ahaha omg please teach me mastermind lol. Done the splits like a stripper and got dumped on his ass he did hahaha oh lord it’s tasty.”

Conor McGregor then followed that up with a video calling out Henry Cejudo’s performance, per XcellentMMA.

All of this was brought to Cejudo’s attention during the post-fight presser. He didn’t hold back when discussing McGregor. MMA Junkie shares the clip.

At the end of the day, it was a hard-fought battle between Sterling and Cejudo. Many are now speculating that Sean O’Malley is next in line for a title shot for the bantamweight belt.

As for Henry Cejudo, it appears he’ll be entering retirement once again. Meanwhile, McGregor is gearing up for an eventual matchup against Michael Chandler.

Perhaps one day Conor McGregor and Henry Cejudo will go at it in the Octagon. But based on their career projections, I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting.
