Gervonta Davis was able to finish Ryan Garcia in the seventh round after delivering a devastating body shot.
After the boxing match, Conor McGregor offered some words of encouragement for Garcia after his loss.
According to MMA Fighting, McGregor laid it down straight for Garcia. The UFC superstar even went as far as to say, “You’re the future, you’re the future of this game.” Here’s McGregor’s full statement.

Clearly, Conor McGregor is a fan of Ryan Garcia. Perhaps he can get back in the win column in his eventual rematch against Gervonta Davis.
However, he’ll have to show some improvement. Apparently, the judges were favoring Davis throughout most of the fight before the TKO, per Boxing Scene.
Additionally, it’s cool to see McGregor show so much support to a young boxer. The UFC star obviously loves combat sports. So why not show love to one of the top rising stars in the sport?

Whether fight fans like to see support from McGregor or not, it’s still cool to see him offer words of encouragement to Garcia.
With that said, keep an eye out for a potential Garcia-Davis rematch.
