Crissy Froyd, a 26-year-old former USA Today NFL reporter who was fired in April after attacking Dianna Russini on social media, claims that more than six other female reporters have told her they’ve slept with members of NFL coaching staffs that they were covering.
After Dianna Russini shared her resignation letter from The Athletic in the wake of her alleged affair with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel being revealed, Crissy Froyd attacked Russini on social media.
“I’m sure you were told to submit this or that you’d get fired instead. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. We know who you really are and what you’ve been up to for years. It does so much detriment to women in sports who have done things the right way,” Froyd posted.
Her comments resulted in her being let go by USA Today, who said that her “statements do not reflect our commitment to professionalism or uphold our principles of ethical conduct.”

About six weeks after her dismissal, Froyd has resurfaced with an op-ed in the Daily Mail in which she claims that she was “fired for exposing the NFL’s dirtiest sex secret.”
In the essay, Froyd claims that “at least half a dozen female reporters” have revealed to her that they’ve slept with NFL staff members.
“I’ve been told by at least half a dozen female reporters that they have had sex with NFL staff and, in one case, a prominent NFL head coach, while they were covering the team,” Froyd wrote in the Daily Mail. “It takes a high degree of trust to make such a confession, so I assume that many other similar stories go untold.”

Since posting her resignation from The Athletic, Russini has shuttered many of her social media accounts and has not made any further public statements.
