D.J. Cooper Suspended From Euro Basketball League After His Drug Test Revealed That He Was Pregnant

Back in 2012 Ohio University’s D.J. Cooper became a cinderella darling when the team knocked out #4 Michigan in the NCAA tournament.

Cooper never made it to the NBA and has been playing overseas for the past few years but it seems like his career has hit a snag.

While attempting to play in Bosnia Cooper was suspended by FIBA after his drug test revealed that he was curiously pregnant.

American guard DJ Cooper was punished with a two-year suspension by FIBA in 2018 after providing another person’s urine for a doping test.

As RTV reports, Cooper had to undergo a doping control to potentially join the Bosnian national team as a naturalized player. The test results on the urine that Cooper provided as his own, revealed that he’s… pregnant. More precisely, the presence of “gHC”, a hormone the placenta produces after impregnation, was detected in the urine sample.

FIBA immediately suspended the player for fraud. Cooper’s punishment will keep him out of courts until June 20, 2020.

Of course, Cooper got immediately mocked by the Internet for his failed drug test.
