Dak Prescott is apparently trying to become the highest-paid player in the NFL.

For the past few weeks, the Dallas Cowboys are currently in the tough position of attempting to negotiate the contracts of their three biggest stars Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper.

According to several reports, the Cowboys have made “generous” offers to all three players to keep all of them on the same team next season.

Yesterday afternoon The Athletic’s Michael Lombardi dropped a bomb when he revealed that he was hearing that Prescott had turned down a $30 million a year contract offer from the Cowboys.

Today, Jenny Slater of the NFL Network not only confirmed Lombardi’s report but added that Prescott is asking for $40 million a year.

Update: ESPN’s Chris Mortensen shot down Slater’s report.

The Internet immediately began roasting Dak after Slater’s report.
