Dak Prescott is hoping to land the Dallas Cowboys a Super Bowl title this February, and if he does, his bank account will thank him. The quarterback can earn a massive bonus with a championship.

That contract incentive has many fans around the NFL talking. They’ve quickly posted reactions on social media.

Prescott currently owns a four-year, $160 million deal with the Cowboys. A detailed breakdown of that contract is available at Spotrac. There are a few things of note, most that are seen in a typical NFL agreement. Signing bonuses, trade clauses, etc.

  • $95M fully guaranteed (signing bonus + 2021 salary + 2022 salary)
  • No-Tag clause
  • No-Trade clause

But there’s one line on the contract that’s catching the attention of fans. Dak Prescott can earn an extra $1 million any time he wins the Super Bowl. He’s yet to do that thus far in his career, but this year could be his best shot yet.

The Cowboys won 12 games this season, good for the fifth seed in the NFC. Dallas nearly pulled out a division title but finished a game behind the Eagles.

Prescott threw 23 scores in the regular season, though he did have an NFL-high 15 interceptions. Criticism of his play has risen over the last few weeks, but that could all but end should he lead Dallas to a Super Bowl win.

Fans have been quick to comment on that $1 million bonus online.

Some don’t believe that a title is in the cards for the Cowboys’ signal caller. This person wrote, “LOL at people talking about Dak Prescott’s Super Bowl bonus.”

Others have more faith. Another fan commented, “Dallas is winning the super bowl this year and Dak might make some more bread with a super bowl bonus.”

We’ll see if Prescott is able to guide the Cowboys to their first Super Bowl title in nearly three decades.
